Productivity and creativity seem at first glance to not fit together very well. Productivity is associated with tasks that are typically clearly defined. Of course, this is not an official definition, but on a perceptual level I would say that being creative gives you a kind of permission to invest more time than normal. You are not 100% clear about where the journey is going, so it is also not clear what you are going to achieve at any given time.
I think that’s a big mistake
Even if you’re creative, you have to set goals. Our recent process of demonstrates my approach to the problem, I think, quite well.
It took us three 30-minute meetings uk whatsapp number data to come up with a name. We spent the first 30 minutes finding the name and the second detailing the programs. In the same way, we could have spent two hours in each meeting with the same purpose. When you choose a name, you can think about it a thousand times. You can invest an infinite amount of time. You have to create pressure in the sense of “after x-[time] I have/we have to come up with a name.”
I have said it on more than one occasion
Inding the name is what slows down a project the index coverage: which pages are (not) indexed most. For these things you also need a network of contacts. We have contacts on forums in both Germany and Spain, but it is also a matter of resuming and reactivating our presence in those communities. Our reach is still very small. Increasing a network of contacts is a slow process.
After finding a name
I was able to create the logo in 30 minutes. It’s not aero leads perfect, but it’s good enough to get going. Of course, you can spend three days and three weeks creating a logo. I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but it’s not worth it to me if I have a gazillion things to do and I have to move forward. In another 30 minutes, thanks to having the logo, I created the sketch for the website of the new non-agency. Let’s see, I was inspired by an existing design that probably cost me more than 100,000 euros to create. But in the end, isn’t everyone inspired in the whole world and I’m not going to go with my eyes closed when I can do it with my eyes wide open?
