What I learned from teaching the same online seminar 5 times in 4 days

No, I probably won’t get any Guinness Records for having done 5 webinars in 4 days yet. If it had been in 3, I’d still be there, but well, we’ll never know
Being a relatively new topic, I wanted to be very well prepared. I have been working on blogging for more than 10 years. In comparison to Facebook Ads, I have only been doing it for a year (although intensively). I had the ambition to create very high-value content with information that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the good feedback I have received, I sense that this has been achieved in some way.There is more participation in the afternoons than in the mornings.

It seems that the topic of “Facebook Ads” is a bit of a trend at the moment and people want to be better informed about it. This is the only explanation for the total of 2,318 registrants. As  shopping data   a platform I use GoToWebinar where I have a plan for 100 attendees. I always allow for “ overbooking ” because the webinars I have organized in the past have shown me that approximately 30% of the people who register actually participate live.

Analysis of webinar statistics

This is a possible conclusion from the data that we can draw from the statistics. GoToWebinar allows you to generate reports that include an average attention span figure. I suspect that it is the ratio of the time that the webinar screen is displayed to the total duration of the webinar (for some reason, this figure was not taken out on one day). Another indicator of this is the number of questions per attendee, which was also higher in the afternoon than in the morning. A simple explanation is that when it is still early there are many pending tasks and some people start writing emails, creating presentations, doing calculations in.

It is just before the end of the week at a time. When you have to have accomplished most of the tasks you had to do. The important thing is to catch the participants in a more or less relaxed moment without distractions. Without a doubt, a very bad time is to set it on a Friday at the same time.  Because many people no longer have their head for these issues and go into weekend mode after 3 pm.
